NRFC Boys’ Premier 2009: Ready for Another Competitive Spring
Coach: Luis Ayala
The 2009 group is coming off a highly competitive and successful year. Last season, the team made an impressive run in several top tournaments, reaching the quarterfinals of the State Cup, the semifinals of the EDP Cup, and finishing as finalists at the EDP Spring Classic and the Potomac MDW Tournament, posting a strong 1-1-1 record in the latter.
After the high school season, the team returned to action for a short EDP Division 1 season and delivered an outstanding performance—finishing in first place and going undefeated in league play. Since then, the players have continued to train hard and focus on improving key areas of their game as they prepare for another demanding spring season.
This spring, the team will compete in the State Cup, Tri-State Cup, EDP Spring Classic, Division 1 of the USYS National League, and the FC Delco Players Cup over Memorial Day weekend. Currently ranked #14 in the state, the group is eager to take on strong competition and build on their continued progress
